JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD:))

Who knew that there was so much work that goes into these pages?  Not I...until now!  That is what I have been up to!

I promised a menu and list and that I am working dilligently on!  My meal tonight though was take out since Wednesday is the day my children go with their father.  The dogs and I shared Arby's since it is right down the road.   Wally and George simply adore curly fries...actually they adore any and everything!LOL

New facebook page is set up and the giveaway is under way until midnight!  Now to find the time to make more jewels!!!  I did find some networking facebook pages with what they call a Ladder in which everyone likes each other's pages and shares!  Wow...newbies all supporting each other!  But, as with everything else, nothing can be so simple!  Several of us liked and shared on 67 pages only to get 4 likes on our pages.  All I can say is that the sponsor page and I know that I did my part!!    Visit:  @Simply Adorned on facebook!

Living Simply Tip of the Day:  As long as I do my part to the best of my ablility in all that I do, the benefits will be forthcoming...not always immediately...but they will come!

I am actually very thankful for those 4 extra likes with hopefully more to come!

Meal Idea #1:  This was actually Tuesday night but can be yours tonight.

CHICKEN PARMESEAN ~~THE EASY WAY:

Boneless and skinless chicken breast (I use the split breasts)
1 jar marinara sauce
Italian seasoning (optional)
Mozzerella cheese (shredded)~~or can use slices of packaged or fresh
I box linguine or fettucinie pasta

1-Thaw chicken and place in cooking sprayed casserole dish.
2-Pour marinara (spaghetti sauce) liberally over each chicken breast.
3-Sprinkle the top of each with italian seasoning.
4-Bake at 350 until tender.  I bake uncovered until almost done.
5-When almost done, put mozzerella cheese on each breast liberally.
6-Tent with foil and finish cooking

As chicken finishes:

1-Boil pasta in salted water with splash of olive oil
2-Drain

Serve chicken with sauce over pasta.  Serve with a good lightly dressed green salad and french bread or my favorite, foccacia.  You can even pour a little olive oil on salad plate and sprinkle with italian seasoning and fresh ground black pepper in which to dip the bread.

Dessert:

Heat a cup or two of leftover coffee from morning in microwave.  It does not have to be scalding.  In coffee mugs, place 1-2 scoops of chocolate or coffee ice cream.  Pour coffee over ice cream (it won't take very much).  Squirt whipped cream over the top and you will love it!!!!!!!  My kids go bonkers over this!

I make this dessert because my daughter adores coffee ice cream and they love frappes and cappucinos!  So I made this up when they had spend the night company one night!

This menu takes almost no prep time and approx 45 min to cook!  There is not much to it!  I love to create out of what I have on hand!

Enjoy~

YEAH!! I FINALLY GOT MY OWN BLOG SET UP!

Here goes friends!  I have been dying to do this since I started all of the couponing and reading other blogs and posts!!

A little about me...I am Lucinda Mckinley and I have 2 precious children, 12 and 14!  Life has been quite an adventure for the three of us in the past 2 years.  We have survived a two year divorce, custody battle, going back to the real world as I was a stay at home mom for 17 plus years!  What does one do now?  The only answer that I have found is SIMPLY SURVIVE!  I still muddle through and keep putting one foot in front of the other!

I have a BS degree in Marketing and Management. I am one of those creative people.  And, I am a good cook!!  I am one of those people who cooks, crochets, smocks, sews, needlepoints, knits, cans in the summer, bakes, am party mom, am field trip mom...  So, what to do now?  Use what I know!  Since I also coupon, I thought that I would start a blog incorporating all of the things that I love!

This blog will focus on the Simple goodness of life!  There is nothing more satisfying to me than making a wonderful dinner that my children love and having that special time hanging out in the kitchen talking about their lives and ours!  I want to share Simple happiness with all of you!

Over the years, I have given many, many people simple meal suggestions, recipes, and ideas!  I will share them here.  Also, I will include lists of groceries needed along with coupons and deals so that we can shop together!

The blog will also follow my new adventure in the crafting of jewelry.  I have started Simply Adorned jewelry and accessories.  I primarily sell at the local flea market...Shoals Flea Market at the Muscle Shoals Fairgrounds on the third weekend of each month!  I have also set up a facebook page for Simply Adorned.  Please stop by my page and tour the pics which will be constantly updated.  I do take orders!  I try to keep all pieces at $5.  Times are tough for all and we should be able to look good and be well adorned at a reasonable price!!!

Thank you for all your support!
